Rohit Shyam is the Chief Strategy Officer and VP Corporate Development & Strategy at Accelrys, Inc. where he is responsible for strategic alliances, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and strategy.
Prior to joining Accelrys, Mr. Shyam was a Partner & Sr. Strategy Expert at CSC. Prior to CSC, Mr. Shyam was a Principal at IBM, where he served as a catalyst for growing IBM Life Sciences during its infancy. Mr. Shyam also served as Principal of Booz-Allen & Hamilton catering to healthcare clients. Prior to joining Booz-Allen,
Mr. Shyam sold his entrepreneurial pharmaceutical software firm to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and ran SAIC’s Global Pharmaceutical division as their Senior Vice President. Mr. Shyam won the Smithsonian Institute’s Award for Innovation in Information Technology for a solution that he developed for the NIH. The innovation has been archived in the National Museum of American History.
Mr. Shyam has been featured in several magazines as a thought leader and is also a recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Mr. Shyam holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Shruti Agrawal
M.S. Pharm, Ph.D.
Shruti Agrawal is a research investigator at Bristol-Myers and Squibb, Inc focusing on clinical development of new drugs in oncology and immunology therapeutic area.
Prior to joining at Bristol-Myers and Squibb, Dr. Agrawal was post-doctoral associate at Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. Her major areas of interest are bio-pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics and metabolism in new drug discovery setting. Dr. Agrawal has also completed postdoctoral fellowship at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, India’s first and leading research based pharmaceutical company. She completed her masters and Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), India.
Dr. Agrawal has more than 65 research articles, reviews, commentaries, World Health Organization’s publication and presentations. She serves as reviewer for many international journals and also is a member of scientific organizations. She is a recipient of IDMA G.P. Nair award, Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council award, Medley Pharmaceutical award and letter of appreciation from Dr. Reddy’s laboratories. Her biography is included in “Marquis Who’s Who in America.”
